Adam Hornung
Attorney
Prior to joining Scudder Law Firm in 2007, Adam worked as an associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in their Los Angeles and London offices.
Adam’s practice focuses on forming and consulting private equity funds, venture capital funds, and registered investment companies. Adam also represents clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, credit financings, public security financings, securities filings, and corporate matters. Adam's representation includes assistance with domestic and international transactions.
Adam’s private and public fund experience includes or has included primary or secondary execution responsibility for numerous transactions, including:
Representing an investement adviser with more than $3 billion under management and a focus on opportunities related to the People's Republic of China.
Representing several private equity funds (ranging from $700 million to $50 million in commitments) focused on opportunities within the United States and internationally.
Representing the independent directors of five registered mutual funds within a $900 billion mutual fund complex.
Representing the investment adviser for eight mutual funds comprising a $500 million family of mutual funds.
Representing several private equity fund limited partners, including universities, pension plans, foundations, endowments, and high net-worth individuals.Adam recently presented at the 6th Annual Alternative Investment Summit (Private Equity Strategy: Investor Flows, Liquidity, and Demand).
Adam received his J.D., with high distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law. While in law school, Adam served as Editor-In-Chief of the Nebraska Law Review and was recognized with inclusion in the Order of Coif. In 2001, he received his B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science, summa cum laude, from Doane College.
