Derek joined Scudder Law Firm in 2021 as an associate attorney.

Derek focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance, securities reporting and compliance, securities offerings, business formation, corporate finance, and general corporate matters.

Derek received his J.D., with concentrations and certificates in Business Law and Transnational Law and Business in 2021 from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was a Senior Notes and Submissions Editor for the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal. In 2013, Derek received his B.A.’s, summa cum laude, in Social Science and History from Doane College in Crete, NE. Prior to attending law school, Derek was a military intelligence soldier in the U.S. Army.
